TUIL Arena
Tromsø, Norway
Formerly: Tromsdalen Stadion
The ground sits in the Tromsdalen district, where the game is played on artificial turf rather than natural grass.
The venue opened in 1983, initially known as Tromsdalen Stadion . It remained by that name for decades before being rebranded as TUIL Arena . The outdoor ground serves as the home for Tromsdalen UIL, a side that plays in the lower tiers of Norwegian football. The capacity is listed at 3,000.
The most visible change to the structure came during a redevelopment project that concluded in October 2019. This work added seating to the main stand and constructed a new multi-purpose indoor facility, known as TUIL Arena II. This annex includes a 7-a-side hall and gymnastics rooms.
The stadium's history is marked by the harsh climate in which it operates. There is no undersoil heating, and the pitch remains synthetic year-round. Its most notable day occurred in 1992, when a crowd of 3,200 gathered to watch a league match against Bodø/Glimt.
