Turkcell Basketbol Gelişim Merkezi

The new Basketball Development Center in Kazlıçeşme sits where the Abdi İpekçi Arena stood for nearly thirty years. That older hall closed in 2017, and demolition started the following year. After two years of construction, the Turkish Basketball Federation opened the new venue on September 29, 2024, with the former president attending the ceremony. The site had been a centre for the sport since 1989, and this facility is its direct successor.

It is an indoor arena with a main court that holds 10,000 spectators. The complex also contains a smaller 1,000-seat training hall and three 500-seat halls for practice. The address is 10. Yıl Caddesi No: 2/1, though some sources cite a different number for another entrance.

Anadolu Efes and Galatasaray MCT Technic play their home games here, and the space serves Turkey's national teams across all age groups. The venue was originally named the Basketball Development Center before Turkcell signed a five-year sponsorship agreement to rename it the Turkcell Basketball Development Center.

The arena replaced the previous ground as the primary basketball venue in Istanbul.
