Viking Stadion
Stavanger, Norway
Formerly: SR-Bank Arena
The pitch surface is artificial, a change made to keep costs under control for the club. It replaced natural grass in 2018 after years of maintenance struggles.
Viking FK have played here since the venue opened in 2004, replacing the old ground. The structure itself is modern, built by Kruse Smith AS with design input from LINK signatur AS and NBBJ Design. The capacity is listed as 15,900, though the club website notes a total of 16,300 including standing areas. The official attendance record was set in 2007 against local rivals SK Brann, when 16,600 people crowded into the bowl.
It has also hosted major concerts. The stadium carries the name Lyse Arena following a deal signed in 2025, though it was previously known as SR-Bank Arena. There is no separate website for the venue; details are kept within the club’s digital records.
