About the player
Vienna gave Abdullah Çelik his start, and it was there, coming through the youth ranks at AK Austria Wien and Znojmo U21, that he first drew attention before Beşiktaş brought him to Turkey in 2015. He spent three years working through the Istanbul club's age groups, from the U19 side to the U21s, and was rewarded with a single senior appearance for Beşiktaş in the 2017–2018 season.
Çelik moved through Bak Spor, Başkent Akademi FK and Mamak FK, the latter spell arranged as a loan from MKE Ankaragücü. He stayed with Ankaragücü from 2021 to 2023, with a further loan spell at Iğdır FK worked in along the way. Ankara Demirspor and Arnavutköy Belediye followed, the latter keeping him occupied for two seasons before his contract there expired.
On his 28th birthday, 19 July 2025, Çelik signed for Keçiörengücü as a free agent, putting his name to a three-year contract that runs until the summer of 2028. The centre-back arrives with more than a decade of experience in Turkish football behind him, despite never having represented Austria at senior international level.
