Christian Gebauer

The Regionalliga West title of 2015–16 is the honour Christian Gebauer's career is built around. He won it with WSG Wattens, and it took the club up to the 2. Liga. Wattens was where he had arrived in July 2014, after a route that began in his native Innsbruck area and ran through small clubs: he came through the youth sides of SV Matrei and SV Navis, played senior football for Matrei from 2011 to 2013, then spent a year at SVG Reichenau.

After three years at Wattens he moved to SCR Altach in July 2017. He stayed until July 2020, when his contract ran out and he left for Germany. Arminia Bielefeld signed him on a free transfer. In August 2021 he went on loan to FC Ingolstadt 04, where he stayed until June 2022.

His deal with Bielefeld expired in 2023, and in July of that year he went back to Altach. This second stay lasted until September 2025 and included time with the club's Juniors side. He then joined SV Austria Salzburg, again as a free agent, and wears number 71 there.

Most of his moves, to Bielefeld and to Salzburg among them, came at the end of a contract rather than for a fee.
