About the player
Cheick Oumar Keita made his name in Mali before either of his two moves this year, coming through the youth system at AS Real Bamako and drawing interest from clubs including Lille and Braga along the way.
From there he moved on again, joining Hapoel Haifa in Israel on a contract running through the middle of 2027.
At international level, Keita has represented Mali at both under-20 and under-23 age groups and was named in the country's preliminary squad for the CHAN tournament. Now at Hapoel Haifa, he plays as a central midfielder and wears the number 8 shirt.
