Daniil Martovoy

Daniil Martovoy's route to Shinnik Yaroslavl began far from Yaroslavl, in the youth ranks of FC Sochi, where he made four appearances for the club's reserve side in the autumn of 2020. A free move to FC Tver the following year gave him his first real platform: across the 2021 season in the FNL-2, he made 27 appearances and scored seven goals for the club, a run of form that included three goals in a single month and earned him recognition as the division's best young player for September.

That performance brought him back to Sochi in 2022, this time into the senior squad, and he made his Russian Premier League debut against Khimki that August. Rather than fighting straight for a regular top-flight place, Martovoy was sent out to build experience: first to FC Rodina, where he scored once in six appearances during the first half of 2023, then to Volgar-Astrakhan for the following season, where he added nine more appearances. Both kept him playing regular football away from Sochi's first team.

His contract with Sochi ran out in the summer of 2025, and Martovoy moved on a free transfer to Shinnik Yaroslavl, signing terms that tie him to the club until the summer of 2027. He arrives having never featured for Russia at any youth or senior level, and with his sole individual honour still the FNL-2 young player award from his time at Tver.
