About the player
Denis Malikov scored 18 goals in 23 games during the 2022–23 Youth Football League season in the Volga region, and added six assists.
A graduate of the club's academy, Malikov is left-footed and is used in midfield or on the right wing. His goalscoring continued the following year. In 2023 he finished second in the scoring table of the Youth Football League's Volga region second division with 20 goals. His team took bronze medals in both the second and third divisions of the competition. Krylya Sovetov signed him to his first professional contract in 2023.
The step up came through the reserves. Malikov played 24 matches for Krylya Sovetov-2 in Group 4 of the Second League in 2024–25, scoring three goals and providing four assists.
He has also been part of the Russian youth national set-up. He was in the under-17 squad that travelled to Egypt in October 2024, a trip that included a 2–1 win for Russia over the Egyptian under-17 side. He has since played for the under-18 team as well.
On 8 September 2026 Malikov made his debut for the first team of Krylya Sovetov.
