Filip Ronny Sigvard Olsson

Filip Olsson's career has been built on staying free of transfer fees. Every move he has made, from junior football through to his arrival at Östers IF, has come without a fee changing hands, a pattern that culminated in a free transfer to the Smålands club on a two-year deal, with an option for a further year.

The central midfielder, who grew up in Kävlinge GIF's youth ranks in Skåne, began his senior career at Eslövs BK in Division 3, where he scored three goals in 37 matches. The move that shaped his career came in 2019, when he joined Landskrona BoIS. Over three seasons there he scored 15 goals in 80 appearances, and it was in 2020 that he had his best individual campaign, netting eight goals as Landskrona won promotion to Superettan.

That form earned him a free transfer to IK Sirius in December 2021, where he signed a four-year contract. His time in Uppsala brought fewer chances to score, with one goal in 34 appearances. In 2025 he was sent out on loan to Sandvikens IF, where he found regular football again, playing 28 matches and scoring three goals.

Olsson has no senior caps for Sweden and no individual honours to his name. At Östers IF, playing in Allsvenskan, he will be looking to rediscover that scoring touch at the top level of Swedish football.
