Ivo Pinto

By the time Ivo Pinto signed permanently for Fortuna Sittard in May 2022, he had already spent a season on loan there. He came up through Boavista and FC Porto's youth ranks before Porto handed him his senior career, though he spent much of that spell out on loan at Gil Vicente, Vitória Setúbal and Sporting Covilhã. The move that shaped his career came in 2013, when he left Rio Ave for Dinamo Zagreb. There he won the Croatian league title in three straight seasons, 2013–14, 2014–15 and 2015–16, along with two Croatian Cups. That form took him to Norwich City in January 2016, a switch reported at around £2.2 million, before he returned to Zagreb in 2019 and added a fourth league title in 2019–20. His second stint in Croatia ended in a string of loans, to Famalicão, Rio Ave and finally Fortuna Sittard, before the Dutch club made the deal permanent. Earlier in his career, at CFR Cluj in Romania, he was a runner-up in both the Romanian Cup and Romanian Super Cup. Pinto represented Portugal at every youth level from under-16 to under-21, collecting 34 caps, and received a senior call-up in October 2014, though a debut for the full national team never followed.
