J. D. Pancadas Casimiro

One appearance in Liga 3 for Amora in the 2023/24 season is the whole of João Casimiro's senior record before he arrived at Portimonense. He had come up through the youth system, first at Belenenses and then at Amora, where he played for the under-19 side. That single first-team match was the only one he played for Amora at senior level.

On 1 July 2024, aged 18, he signed for Portimonense. No transfer fee was involved, and the same is true of his earlier moves from Belenenses to Amora and on to the Algarve club. His contract runs until 30 June 2027, so the deal covers three seasons.

Since joining, he has played for Portimonense's under-23 side in the Liga Revelação U23. It is the level at which he has been building his game at the club, after a year in which the only senior football he had was that one outing in Liga 3.

He is right-footed and plays in the middle of the pitch, and he is still at the start of his career. What he does with the remaining time on his contract will decide how much more there is to add to a record that so far runs to one senior appearance.
