About the player
John Robertson scored a last-minute hat-trick against Raith Rovers for East Kilbride, in July 2025. He joined Stark's Park on a two-year contract in June 2026 after his East Kilbride deal expired, the move made on a free transfer.
Robertson came through the St Johnstone academy and made his senior debut in 2018 at the age of 16, before loan spells at Cove Rangers and Forfar Athletic. His path after leaving St Johnstone ran through Edinburgh City, where he helped the club win promotion from League Two.
It was at East Kilbride that Robertson built his reputation. He won back-to-back Lowland League titles there, then the 2025/26 League Two title, a season in which he scored 32 goals in 45 appearances. That return made him the top scorer across the entire SPFL and earned him the PFA League Two Player of the Season award.
A left-footed winger who wears the number 11 shirt, Robertson now takes that scoring record into the Raith Rovers frontline.
