Milan Gajić

Milan Gajić moved to CSKA Moscow as a free agent in July 2022, joining on a deal initially reported as three years plus an option and later extended through to 2027. He had spent the previous three seasons at Red Star Belgrade, where he became a fixture at the back and helped the club to four consecutive Serbian SuperLiga titles and two Serbian Cups.

Gajić's path to the top began at OFK Beograd, where he made his professional debut in August 2013 and went on to play 46 league matches. Girondins de Bordeaux signed him in July 2015 for a fee of around €800,000, but his four years there brought only 28 league appearances for the first team. He left Bordeaux by mutual consent in February 2019 and returned to Serbia with Red Star.

Internationally, Gajić already had a gold medal to his name before he ever played for the senior Serbia side: he was part of the Serbia under-20 team that won the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. His senior debut came years later, on 24 March 2021, in a World Cup qualifier against Ireland.

Born in Vukovar, Gajić can play at right-back or in midfield, and is comfortable using either foot.
