About the player
Süleyman Özdamar played at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup with Turkey. It was one stop in a youth international career that began at U-15 level. He won 10 caps at U-15, 13 at U-16, seven at U-17, four at U-18 and one at U-19. He has not yet played for the senior national team.
His club career began at Altay, where he came through the youth ranks from 2005 and made his senior debut in 2008. In 2010 he moved to Gaziantepspor. He spent time on loan at Bozüyükspor and Gölcükspor, and later returned to Gaziantepspor for a second spell. Bayrampaşa, Aydınspor 1923, Silivrispor and Başkent Şafakspor followed. Most of these moves were on free transfers.
His longest and most successful spell came at Bodrum. He first joined in 2020 and was there again from 2021 to 2025. He won the TFF 2. Lig play-off championship with the club in 2021–22, which brought promotion. Two seasons later he won the TFF 1. Lig play-off championship in 2023–24, and that took Bodrum up to the Süper Lig. He also had a short stint at Turgutluspor in 2020–21, during his time with Bodrum.
From Bodrum he went to Elazığspor for the 2025–26 season. In August 2026 he joined Sivasspor on a free transfer.
