Tamerlan Musaev

Tamerlan Musaev made his name at Baltika Kaliningrad, where three loan spells away from the club — at Volga Ulyanovsk, Baltika-BFU and KAMAZ — gave him the minutes his parent club could not. He came back a different player, and helped drive Baltika to the 2022/23 First League title and promotion to the Russian Premier League, a season in which he was named the division's best player. The following campaign he scored ten goals in 25 top-flight matches, numbers that made CSKA move for him.

CSKA signed him in December 2023 on a contract running to the end of the 2027/28 season. He has kept scoring in Moscow, with 13 league goals in 49 appearances for the club, and played a direct role in the 2024/25 Russian Cup triumph, scoring in the semi-final against Zenit. He also won the 2025 Russian Super Cup with CSKA, and that year was awarded the title of Master of Sports of Russia.

His international career has followed the same pattern of quick returns once given a chance. After two caps for Russia's under-23 side against Egypt, he was handed his senior debut in September 2024 against Vietnam in the LPBank Cup, and did not waste the occasion: he set up a goal and scored one himself in a 3–0 win. Two months later he scored again, in an 11–0 friendly rout of Brunei. He has since gone on to six caps and two goals for the national team.
