About the player
Stepan Sikach came up through Sheriff Tiraspol's academy, spending seven years there from 2000 and winning the Moldovan youth championship twice, in 2005 and 2006. From there he moved into Russian football with Terek Grozny, followed by a string of clubs including Volgar, Salyut Belgorod and Torpedo Moscow, before a switch to Georgia opened a new stage of his career.
He also won the Football National League Cup in 2015 during his time in Russia.
His career then took him to Kazakhstan, where he has spent the past several seasons with Akzhayik and Kaysar, making 50 appearances for the latter. He returned briefly to Dinamo Tbilisi before joining Zhetysu at the start of 2026.
Sikach holds Moldovan citizenship and represented the country at under-21 level, earning caps for the junior side, though a call-up to the senior national team has so far eluded him.
