About the player
The match that best marks out Yusuf Arda Özyurt's youth career is an 8-1 win for Galatasaray's under-17s over Fenerbahçe in the TFF Gelişim Ligi. He scored the eighth goal. That season he finished with 11 goals and an assist in 17 games for the age group.
He had come to Galatasaray by way of Istanbul's smaller clubs. His first licence was with Erokspor in November 2017. Two years later he moved to Haliç Su Sporları, and in February 2020 he joined the Galatasaray academy, where he worked his way up the age groups. He later returned to Erokspor, the club that first registered him.
On 3 December 2025 he started a Ziraat Türkiye Kupası tie against Fatih Karagümrük. Erokspor lost 5-2, but he set up one of their goals. On 9 February 2026 he signed his first professional contract, which runs to 30 June 2028.
The current campaign has been a slower start. In the Trendyol 1. Lig he has come off the bench twice, for 29 minutes in total, without a goal or an assist. Those minutes are the first he has had in the league.
