Barwell

Two clubs made Barwell: Hinckley, of the Midland Combination Premier Division, and Barwell Athletic, dating back to 1948 and playing in the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division. When the two merged in 1992, it was Hinckley's place in the Midland Combination that the new club took up.

The honours since have come in pairs of seasons rather than a single golden run: the Midland Alliance title in 2009–10 followed the year after by the Northern Premier League Division One South championship. The cup record is thinner but specific — Leamington beaten 3–1 in the 2005–06 Midland Alliance League Cup final, Coalville Town beaten by the same scoreline in the 2016–17 Leicestershire and Rutland Challenge Cup. In the FA Cup, Barwell reached the first round in 2015–16, the first time the club had gone that far.

The club's own appearance and scoring records sit with players who never left in the same way.

Kirkby Road holds 2,500, of which 256 can sit, and has done since the main stand went up in 2001, opened by Chris Kirkland. There are no terraces in the old sense; seating is now in place, in a village five miles from Hinckley, the town whose league place the club once inherited.
