Dibba Al Hisn

Dibba Al-Hisn sits on the Sharjah side of a coastline split between two emirates, and the club has always carried that division in its name. It grew out of a chain of local mergers rather than a single founding act: Al-Fajr, formed in 1967, joined Al-Dhafir in 1974 to become Al Hisn, and that side finally took its present shape in 1980. The city knows the club as Hasnawy, and Khalid bin Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi now holds ownership, with Ibrahim Baghdad Al Darmaki chairing it.

Promotion has defined the club more than any trophy. In 2004–05 Dibba Al-Hisn won the UAE First Division League and went up to the top flight, only to finish bottom the following season with a single win from twenty-two matches and drop straight back down. Not until 2023–24 did they climb again, finishing second with 20 wins and 64 points to earn automatic promotion for the 2024–25 Pro League season. Cup football has brought near misses rather than silverware: several runs to the Round of 16 of the President's Cup, in 2008–09, 2011–12, 2018–19 and 2019–20, without ever going further. To strengthen the squad for the top flight, the club brought in Cameroon international Pierre Kunde Malong in 2024, a midfielder with senior international experience the group had lacked.

Matches are played across the emirate at the Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi Stadium in Khor Fakkan, which holds just over 6,000. Younger sides have had more to celebrate lately than the first team, with the club's under-9s taking the Sharjah Sports Council youth title in both 2024 and 2025.

None of it carries the weight of the Dibba Derby. Dibba Al Fujairah sits just across the boundary that cuts the town itself between Sharjah and Fujairah, and the fixture between the two clubs plays out that same geographical split every time they meet.
