The reserve side's best result came early: fifth place in Divize E, the fourth tier, in 1998/99. From there its record is mostly one of falling and climbing. By 2008/09 it was in the Okresní soutěž Frýdecko-Místecka, the ninth tier, and it won that competition. It then won the league above it in 2009/10, the league above that in 2010/11 and the I. A třída Moravskoslezského kraje in 2011/12, four promotions in four seasons that took it to the sixth tier.
The climb did not last. The team was dissolved in 2013 and was re-established for the 2020/21 season.
The main club goes by Valcíři, "the Rollers", after the local sheet-rolling mill, Válcovny plechu. Its other name, Lipina, comes from the district. Its rivals include FK Třinec, the neighbours it plays in the so-called Frýdecko-místecké derby.
The reserve team itself dates from 1997. It was formed from the former Slezan Frýdek-Místek side, which that year merged with the main club.
