Hibiscus Coast

Hibiscus Coast came within a shoot-out of a Chatham Cup semi-final in 2024. The quarter-final at home against Coastal Spirit finished 3-3, and the tie was decided on penalties, 6-5 to the visitors. It came in the season the club turned 50.

The anniversary was marked on the shirt. The usual green with white sleeves was reversed for 2024, so the players wore white with green sleeves. The club was formed in 1974 on the Whangaparāoa Peninsula, north of Auckland. Supporters call the team The Coast.

Trophies have come in the Northern Region Football (NRFL) system rather than in the Chatham Cup. The women had their own 2022, taking the NRFL Championship and the Carol Waller Cup in the same year. Stacey Martin captains that side.

On the men's side the name people bring up is Dan Cyra, the first player to pass 250 appearances and 100 goals for the club.

Much of the club's weight lies away from the first team. More than 3,500 people take part in its programmes every year. Albany United and North Shore United are the nearest rivals, though no derby carries a name.

Matches are played at Stanmore Bay Park on Brightside Road, a ground for 500 spectators.
