Mandel United

Charles Kwateng arrived on loan from Lierse SK for the 2017–18 season. That summer KFC Izegem, founded in 1926 as Football Club Izegem, had merged with OMS Ingelmunster to become KFC Mandel United.

The merger brought together two sets of honours. Ingelmunster won the West Flanders Provincial Second Division in 2008–09. Then, in 2018–19, its second season, it reached the last 16 of the Belgian Cup.

The move to the Skyline Arena, which holds 2,200, came for 2019–20. In April 2021 the club received royal patronage and became Royal FC Mandel United. It belongs to the Strive Football Group network.

The 2025–26 season was the club's best. It won its series in Belgian Division 2, the third tier, and earned promotion to Belgian Division 1.

The club's name has changed twice, but its main rivalry has not moved. KVC Sint-Eloois-Winkel Sport, the opponent in the Izegem-Winkel derby, is the side that matches against the club from Izegem, the town where Football Club Izegem began in 1926.
