Charlie Sheringham took the pitch at Pontyns Sports Ground on dual registration in the spring of 2025: his father Teddy had played for England, and the younger Sheringham had come through at AFC Bournemouth and AFC Wimbledon before turning out for a club of a hundred permanent seats. He signed on for good ahead of the 2025–26 season.
Snodland Town started out in 1948 as a boys' side called Snodland Minors, later known as Snodland Nomads, and it took until the 1956–57 season for a senior men's team to appear under the name Snodland FC. The current identity dates only from 2012, when the club merged with a local junior side. What it has collected since has come almost entirely at county level: the Kent County League Premier Division in 1999–00, the Maidstone and District League Premier Division twice, in 1959–60 and 1983–84.
The ground itself offers a covered stand for around a hundred spectators and open standing for the rest, on Paddlesworth Road.
