Gaziosmanpaşa Stadyumu

Gaziosmanpaşa Stadyumu is located in Tokat city in northern Turkey. It is named after the historical figure Gazi Osman Paşa. The stadium was declared seismically unsafe, and on February 23, 2026, demolition began on the stadium. The stands that once held the local fans are coming down, to be replaced by a modern stadium with a planned capacity of 10,000 on the same site. It is a strange irony that the confusion with Istanbul stems from the fact that Gaziosmanpaşa is also a district in that city, but this stadium is named after the same historical figure, Gazi Osman Paşa, and is located in Tokat city in northern Turkey. The old concrete is being cleared away, and with it, the memory of the games played there.

For forty years, this was the territory of Tokatspor, who ground out their seasons here until the club ceased operations in 2021 due to financial difficulties. The silence that followed was heavy, replaced only by the arrival of Tokat Belediye Plevnespor, who now compete in the 3. Lig. The ground has never changed its name, nor its purpose, remaining a fixture of the district for the majority of its life.
