Stjörnuvöllur

Two clubs use it: Stjarnan , whose senior side plays in the top flight, and KFG .

The pitch is artificial. The 2012–2013 works replaced the surface and laid a snowmelt system beneath it. The engineering and design for the wider Ásgarður area came from the consultancy VSÓ, working for the Garðabær municipality.

Until 2012 the ground was simply Stjörnuvöllur ; a sponsorship agreement with Samsung made it Samsungvöllurinn , and both names remain in circulation.

Its European nights are the reason most outsiders know the address. A thousand watched Lech Poznań the previous year. The ground has also staged UEFA Women's Champions League football, including knockout matches in 2014–15. Domestic finals go elsewhere — the Icelandic cup is settled at Laugardalsvöllur in Reykjavík — so the biggest league crowd on record remains the 925 who came for KR on 21 July 2012 .
