About the player
Massaccesi's whole footballing life has run through one place: the Instituto de Córdoba academy known as "La Agustina", where he came through from the youth ranks having supported the club since he was seven years old. He joined the first-team setup in 2023, initially with the reserve side in the Liga de Reservas before the step up that would define the next stage of his career.
In January 2024, Instituto sent him out on loan to Defensores de Belgrano for what became a two-season spell in the Primera Nacional, Argentina's second tier. He made 64 appearances there and scored twice, regular exposure to senior football that shaped him as a centre-back standing 190cm tall.
He returned to Instituto once the loan spell ended in 2025, and it was in 2026 that he finally made his professional debut for the club's first team. That debut came against sizeable opposition: he featured in matches against Independiente and Boca Juniors, as well as in a Copa Argentina tie against Atlanta.
