About the player
Emanuel Sittaro has never worn another club's shirt. The goalkeeper joined Instituto's youth ranks in Córdoba in 2014 and stayed there through the age groups until his promotion to the first-team squad in July 2019.
His debut, when it finally came in April 2021, arrived in circumstances nobody could have scripted: Instituto's starting goalkeeper was sent off against Ferro Carril Oeste, and Sittaro was the one called off the bench to finish the match. It marked the start of his run as part of the club's squad, one that has since been extended through a contract running to the end of 2027.
Sittaro has collected silverware along the way. He was part of the Instituto squad that won the Copa Ondino Viera in Uruguay in 2022, beating Cerro Largo 2–1 in the final, though he watched that game as a substitute.
He has yet to add a senior or youth national-team cap to his record.
