About the player
Jonathan Sebastián Galván is a centre-back who made his professional debut at Aldosivi in his native Mar del Plata in 2011. He stayed with the club for six years, helping it reach the Primera División before Colón de Santa Fe signed him in January 2017. Two years later he moved to Argentinos Juniors. Rather than establishing himself in Buenos Aires, Galván spent most of the following years away on loan, playing for Central Córdoba, Unión de Santa Fe, Huracán and Racing Club.
The Racing loan brought the two honours of his career, the Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional and the Supercopa Internacional, both won in the space of a year. Galván returned to Argentinos Juniors permanently in 2023, but by 2025 he was out on loan again, this time back at Central Córdoba, where he made around 40 appearances and scored twice.
In January 2026 he rejoined Argentinos Juniors only to be sent out again immediately, this time to Instituto de Córdoba. He has made himself a regular starter there, having played 21 matches for the club by September.
