About the player
Joanderson de Jesus Assis came through São Paulo FC's youth ranks, where he finished as top scorer of the 2015 Copa do Brasil Sub-20 with seven goals and also topped the charts in the Copa Ipiranga. He was promoted to the senior squad that year but never made a league appearance for the club. At Internacional, on loan in 2017, he won the Campeonato Brasileiro de Aspirantes, scoring three goals in seven games, though at senior level for the club he made just two appearances without finding the net.
He then moved to Honduras, joining Olancho FC in July 2024.
In January 2025 Joanderson signed for Oliveirense on a free transfer, taking the number 11 shirt. That spell in Portugal proved brief: in July 2026 he returned to Olancho FC on a free transfer.
