About the player
Morán came through the LDU Quito academy, working his way up through the reserve side before leaving Ecuador altogether in April 2021 for Europe. The move took him to GNK Dinamo Zagreb, where he spent a season with the Croatian club's reserve team in the 2. HNL, making three appearances.
Back in Ecuador, he joined Barcelona SC in September 2022, making a single appearance in the Liga Pro in 2023. A loan to Guayaquil City in Serie B followed in 2024, before he returned to the Barcelona SC squad at the end of that year. In March 2025 he moved on again, joining Leones del Norte on a free transfer and signing through to the end of 2026.
A right-back by trade, Morán also has international experience at youth level, having represented Ecuador's under-17 side in 2019. He made seven appearances for that side, scoring once, and played at both the U17 South American Championship and the FIFA U-17 World Cup that year. He has yet to add a senior cap for Ecuador to his record.
