Fenerbahce U19

These days Fenerbahçe's under-19 side works its way through the U19 Süper Lig and the UEFA Youth League, where a place in the Champions Path has become routine rather than an event — Fenerbahçe have taken part almost every season since 2012–13, most recently with a fresh campaign scheduled for 2026–27. Getting into the group stage no longer counts for much on its own; the side has yet to push through to the knockout rounds once it arrives there.

The team trains and plays most of its matches at the Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Tesisleri in Kadıköy, a ground with no fixed capacity for spectators. When the fixture is a derby against Galatasaray's under-19s, the club moves the game elsewhere, to Rams Park or to the Florya Metin Oktay Tesisleri, treating those nights as something apart from the weekly league calendar. Against Beşiktaş the same weight attaches to what is known in Istanbul as the Kıtalar Arası Derbi.

What the age group is best known for is what leaves it. Arda Güler played for the U19s in 2020–21 before his move to Real Madrid, one entry in a list of academy graduates that also runs through Emre Belözoğlu, Mert Günok and Altay Bayındır — players whose development is credited to the Fenerbahçe youth setup without the under-19 side itself being where their names are remembered. The senior club carries the yellow and navy blue adopted in 1908 and a run of Süper Lig titles stretching back to 1959; the under-19 team plays under the same colours and the same nicknames, without a trophy record of its own to set alongside them. A fourth-place finish in the 2021–22 U19 Süper Lig is the most recent domestic result on the books, and a Turkish Cup at this age level remains something the team has not won.
