There is a Ghana FA Cup record online crediting Soccer Intellectuals with the 2020 trophy, and another that puts them in the 2018 Division One League. Neither survives a check against the Ghana Football Association's own results: the 2020/21 FA Cup went to Accra Hearts of Oak, the 2023 edition to Dreams FC, and no Division One title from that period carries the club's name. What the record shows instead is a men's side that won the Division Two League in the Central Region's Zone Two and rode that into the Ghana National Division One League in 2021, and a run to the quarter-finals of the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup, ended by Dreams FC, the tournament's defending champions, by a single goal.

The club sits across two towns in Ghana's Central Region, Ajumako and Winneba, and fields separate men's and women's teams under the one name. Soccer Intellectuals Ladies F.C. was among the founding clubs of the Ghana Women's Premier League and plays out of Kofi Assansa Park in the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam district. The men's side has moved between grounds rather than settling on one, with Swedru Sports Stadium, holding around 5,000, among those it has called home.

Locally the team goes by The Intellectuals, a nickname at odds with a men's honours list that, on the official record, still has nothing in it. The distance between what gets claimed for the club online and what the Ghana Football Association will actually confirm is, for now, as much a part of its story as anything won on the pitch.
