Bezirkssportanlage Nord-West TV 1861
Ingolstadt, Germany
Audi Sportpark sits on the flat, former refinery grounds at the southeastern edge of Ingolstadt. The ground replaced the club’s older venues, MTV-Stadion am Kreuztor and ESV-Stadion, when the new build opened in 2010. The capacity is 15,800, though European matches are held to 12,000 to satisfy UEFA advertising regulations.
The surface is natural grass. Inside, there are 1,350 business seats and 18 VIP lodges, with roughly 6,000 standing places. The highest official attendance was 11,388, set in March 2018 during a 2. Bundesliga fixture against SG Dynamo Dresden. The club has not altered the structure since completion, despite the design allowing for expansion to 30,000.
The stadium has also hosted events outside the league. Concerts such as the Audi RockPop Festival and the PHNX RISING Open Air Festival have taken place on the pitch.
The ground is distinct from the Bezirkssportanlage Nord-West TV 1861, which sits in a different part of the city near Richard-Wagner-Straße. That smaller venue, holding 5,000, serves TV 1861 Ingolstadt.
