Bobby Bowden Field at Pete Hanna Stadium
Homewood, United States
Formerly: Howard Stadium, F. Page Seibert Stadium
It opened in 1958 as Howard Stadium, but a donation shortly after saw the west stands completed and the name changed to F. Page Seibert Stadium. The playing surface tells a different history, evolving from natural grass to an LSR Blade Synthetic Surface in 2005, and then to the current hybrid system. The naming rights have followed a similar pattern of evolution, with the field renamed for Bobby Bowden in 2021 and the stadium structure itself renamed for Pete Hanna in 2023.
The Bashinsky Press Tower, completed in 1989, added theatre-type seats and replaced the original wooden benches with aluminium ones, a change that defined the capacity at 6,700. The south end zone holds a modern field house, while the north end features a video board that glows over the stands.
The stadium has hosted NCAA Division I FCS playoff matches, including quarterfinal action in 1991 and a second-round tie in 2022. The official single-game attendance record of 11,189 stands from a 1994 clash against Alcorn State, a match that featured quarterback Steve McNair. More recently, the venue hosted the games that secured Southern Conference titles for the Bulldogs in 2013 and 2022.
