Cajun Field at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium
Lafayette, United States
Formerly: Cajun Field
The ground is Cajun Field at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium . This is the result of a $15 million commitment from Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, a gift that brought a new name to the field and a new look to the stands before the 2025 season.
Now, the artificial surface remains, but the capacity has changed. The 2021–2025 renovation deliberately reduced the number of seats to make room for premium amenities, shifting the focus from sheer volume to comfort. The current capacity sits at 30,392, but one that reflects the new priorities of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
In those early days, when the stadium first opened against Santa Clara University, it held 26,000 people. Over the decades, the Ragin' Cajuns football team has made it their home, hosting events that range from the New Orleans Bowl in 2005 to regular conference games.
