Davidson College Stadium

Davidson College Stadium is the first new venue for the Wildcats in a hundred years. The new ground sits just down the road from the old one, but the difference in architecture is immediate. The playing surface is a bright green rectangle of artificial turf. The facility opened with a dedication ceremony in April, followed by the first football game in September where the Wildcats beat Catawba College. It is a modern addition to a historic campus, replacing a ground that had stood since 1923.
