That victory led to a coronation match against regional rivals Medeama SC, followed by the Champion of Champions curtain-raiser against the MTN FA Cup winners, Asante Kotoko. The stadium has also hosted cup ties against giants like Hearts of Oak, and the village has seen its share of big matches.
