Estádio António Almeida Correia replaced an older pitch the club had used for over fifty years when it opened in 1993. It serves as the home for GD Alcochetense.

The facility has seen its share of turbulent times, particularly during a recent financial crisis that threatened the club’s existence. Yet the stadium remains. It is a working ground, not a monument. Matches here, such as those in the Campeonato de Portugal against rivals like Olímpico do Montijo, often feel more like community gatherings than professional fixtures.

The exterior is functional, with a facade that received a renovation just before April 2019. The venue itself did not host the final, but it hosted the journey that preceded it.

For the people of Alcochete, it is the only ground in town. The nickname "Fóni" sticks, a reminder of the man it is named after, but the building’s true significance lies in its continuity. It remains open for business.
