Fortera Stadium

The venue opened to the public in 1946. The most visible change came in 2014, when the west side was rebuilt. The old concrete stands were removed and replaced with a modern structure that includes club seating. These renovations expanded the capacity to 10,000, though the permanent seating remains closer to 7,000.

The pitch itself uses artificial turf, a surface installed before the 2022 season which has allowed the ground to host various events beyond the autumn football schedule.

What remains distinctive is the integration of the athletic grounds with the university’s daily life. The facility continues to serve as the home for the Governors football team and the track and field squad, maintaining its original purpose while adapting to modern requirements.
