Hempstead Stadium
Beverly, United States
Formerly: Endicott Stadium
The ground was laid out in 2003, the same year the college brought in football. For a long while it carried the name Endicott Stadium, but the board changed the title in 2015 to honour Melissa Hempstead, an alumna from 1969 who sat on the Trustees and kept an eye on the football programme from the stands.
The surface is natural grass.
Football, men’s and women’s soccer, lacrosse, and rugby all share the same pitch through the year. The capacity sits somewhere between two and a half thousand and three thousand, figures that drift depending on which list you consult, but the number itself does not matter much when the teams are playing each other. There are no attendance records worth mentioning, no nights when the crowd filled the rails; it is a place for practice and matches rather than spectacle.
