InfoCision Stadium–Summa Field

The ground sits at the heart of the University of Akron campus. Summa Field is not a relic. It is a facility built to replace the old Rubber Bowl, opening in 2009 to give the Zips a proper home.

The visual signature of the place is the FirstMerit Foundation Club Level, which sits high above the lower tiers and looks out over the field. It provides a distinct separation from the open-air terraces that carry around the rest of the oval. The field itself is covered in ProGrass, a synthetic surface that is bright green and marked with the team's logo at the centre.

The stadium is designed to hold 30,000 people.

InfoCision Management Corporation provided the money for the stadium structure, while Summa Health System paid for the field itself. The ground has never been renamed, a stability that suits a university setting.
