Municipal Sports Centre

Aalter, Belgium

The Municipal Sports Centre on Lindestraat sits in Aalter, a town in East Flanders. KV Eendracht Aalter, founded in 1946, calls this venue home, while the women’s side of Club Brugge — now known as Club YLA — stages its selected fixtures here instead of moving to the larger Schiervelde or Jan Breydel stadiums. The ground itself is a complex rather than a single pitch: Field A carries artificial turf, replaced during a renovation completed in 2022, while Field B retains natural grass. Two indoor halls, a swimming pool and padel courts sit alongside the playing areas, and the annual Oost-West Cup athletics event still uses the space.

The spectator stand was rebuilt as part of that €663,000 project, alongside a new scoreboard and dugouts. LED floodlights followed in 2025. Capacity figures remain a matter of interpretation: some sources place the total around 3,500, others cite 1,500 as the seated count. No official attendance record has been documented for the stadium itself.

The site is not new, though its original opening date does not appear in available records. It has never carried a different name, even as “Sportpark Aalter” became the title for the wider municipal estate.
