Oaklands Park

Oaklands Park does not announce itself as a stadium. The surface is marked as artificial, a change made in recent years to ensure the facility could host the local club's fixtures without interruption, following redevelopment that brought the venue up to standard before that upgrade.

The ground sits within a park that carries a much older history, having opened to the public in 1938 before the current football infrastructure was established. It is a modest venue for Chichester City FC, capable of holding just 2,000 spectators, but it holds a specific place in the club's memory. The relationship between the park and the pitch has grown, with the area also hosting the annual Chichester Cheese and Chilli Festival, but the football club remains the primary tenant. It is often distinguished from the stadium in Almondsbury, but Oaklands Park has its own identity.
