Qingdao Youth Football Stadium was raised as part of a bid that never had a match to justify it.
The pitch runs on an anchoring system rather than plain turf, ninety-five percent natural grass knitted through with synthetic fibre, with drainage, heating, ventilation and irrigation laid underneath so the surface holds up regardless of season.
Since 2023 the arena has settled into a steadier role as home ground for Qingdao Hainiu .
