Roding Lane

Buckhurst Hill, United Kingdom

Formerly: Myrak Park

The ground sits in the Epping Forest District of Essex, near the border with Greater London. Roding Lane is the name Buckhurst Hill F.C. has used since the club moved into senior football in 2004/2005, though some local contexts still call it Myrak Park. The club was founded in 1985 and has played there ever since.

The pitch is natural grass. A 100-seater stand sits alongside a standing area for 100 spectators, a configuration approved by the local council in 2020. The total capacity is approximately 500. The venue is also used by the local cricket and lacrosse club and by Leyton Orient Women.

The ground has hosted matches in the FA Cup qualifying rounds since the 2022–23 season. Buckhurst Hill reached the Second Qualifying Round in the 2026–27 campaign. They also reached the Third Round of the FA Vase in the 2021–22 season. Regular fixtures are played here in the Isthmian League North Division, after a previous spell in the Essex Senior League.

The highest recorded attendance was 366, set on 6 August 2022, in an FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round match against Walthamstow, a game the hosts won 2–1. The year the ground was built or opened is not recorded in available sources, nor is the identity of the builder.

The club won the BBC Essex Saturday Premier Cup Final in May 2018, though that final was held at Ship Lane, not Roding Lane.
