Rufaro Stadium

Rufaro Stadium sits in the Mbare district of Harare, a place where the game has been played since the 1960s. The name means "joy" in Shona. The pitch is natural grass.
The stadium has changed shape, quite literally, over the years. For a time it was condemned by the local leagues, forcing tenants like Dynamos F.C. and Harare City F.C. to move their home games elsewhere. The ground reopened for local football in February 2024 with a charity match between Dynamos and CAPS United.
This is not a place that holds every card regarding attendance records. But it remains a venue where Zimbabwe has hosted international matches, including qualifiers against Botswana and Uganda. The current tenants include Dynamos F.C., Harare City F.C., and CAPS United.
The stadium is owned and operated by the Harare City Council.
