Skelly Field at H. A. Chapman Stadium
Tulsa, United States
Formerly: Skelly Field, Skelly Stadium
Skelly Field at H. A. The stadium holds 30,000 spectators, a number lowered after the 2008 renovation removed the upper section of the west stands and replaced them with a new press box containing luxury suites. Inside, the pitch is covered in FieldTurf Revolution CoolPlay, though the playing field itself once hosted the Tulsa Roughnecks, who won the North American Soccer League title in 1983.
The building is the primary feature.
The ground has seen larger crowds. The all-time record of 47,350 was set on 26 September 1987 against the Oklahoma Sooners, a match that ended 65–0. The stadium opened in 1930 following a donation from William Skelly, founder of Skelly Oil, and the name has changed twice since, settling on its current form in April 2007.
