Stadiumi Flamurtari

The Stadiumi Flamurtari in Vlorë has been renovated. The club KS Flamurtari Vlorë has called this place home since it opened in 1961.

It stands on Rruga Mato Robi, on the site of the old Venetian Vlorë Castle, which had been demolished in 1906. The pitch is natural grass, and the surface was relaid in February 2013, funded equally by the club and the Albanian Football Association (FFA). The main grandstand, known as the Tribuna Qendrore, was renovated in 2014 to meet UEFA requirements. That work added a distinctive black and red western facade with a plaza and fountain.

The capacity has swung with the times. It opened with 6,500 seats, grew to 11,000 in 1975, and settled at 8,200 after the reconstruction between 2004 and 2013. The official attendance record stands at 18,500, set in 1987 during a UEFA Cup match against FC Barcelona. Regular matches at the time could attract crowds of up to 15,000. The central stand bears the name Qemal Stafa, a famous Albanian footballer, though this applies only to that section rather than the venue itself. The club itself was known as Puna Vlorë between 1951 and 1958.

Digital advertising boards and a television screen in the south stand are part of the modernisation. New small two-story buildings for restrooms and concessions were also part of the 2025 work. The ground has not hosted any notable non-football events, and there is no official website for the stadium or the club; the club’s previous official website was archived in 2008.
