Yeni Sakarya Atatürk Stadyumu

The Yeni Sakarya Atatürk Stadyumu presents a sweeping roof structure.

Built to replace the old Adapazarı Atatürk Stadyumu, which was demolished to make way for a national garden, this venue opened in 2017. The capacity sits at just under thirty thousand. The surface is natural grass, laid out without a running track, keeping the focus entirely on the pitch.

The stadium hosted early qualifiers for the UEFA U21 European Championship. However, the most memorable local event occurred shortly after opening, when players supported a marriage proposal on the field before a match against Silivrispor. The structure itself has seen no major expansions since its inauguration, though maintenance on the pitch continues and a sports high school was added to the complex in the years following.
