Belgian Cup (Belgium) 2025/26

The Belgian Basketball Cup, currently known as the Lotto Basketball Cup due to sponsorship, is the primary domestic knockout tournament in the Belgian basketball pyramid. Founded in 1954 with the first final held in the 1953–54 season, it operates independently from the league championship. The competition is organized by Basketball Belgium, also known as the Royal Belgian Basketball Federation.

Unlike the league playoffs which determine the national champion among top-tier clubs, this cup is open to teams from all levels. Competitors include the top-tier BNXT League, the Second Division (TDM2), and the Third Division (TDM3). Lower-division teams enter in the preliminary Round of 32, where they play single-leg matches. Professional BNXT League teams typically enter later in the Round of 16.

The format has evolved over time. Recent editions feature a Round of 32 followed by the Round of 16, Quarter-finals, and Semi-finals. Matches between two professional teams in the knockout stages are played as two-legged ties involving home and away games. Matches involving lower-division teams remain single-leg fixtures. The Final is a single-leg match held at a neutral venue, such as Forest National in Brussels or Palais 12.

There is no promotion or relegation associated with the cup itself. However, the winner qualifies for European competitions, such as the FIBA Europe Cup or the Basketball Champions League, subject to current regulations. BC Oostende holds the record for success with 21 titles. The current champion, for the 2025–26 season, is Antwerp Giants.

Previous sponsors include bpost and Euromillions. The competition remains distinct from the BNXT League Playoffs, which involve only the top-tier professional clubs to decide the league title.
